Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving pageYour details are safe with JustGiving - Once you donate, your money goes directly to the charity.

My name is Meghan, I am 12 years old.I live with my mum and little brother.Earlier this year my family and I were involved in a car accident, due to this I received some very serious injuries of which I am starting to recover slowly and from this incident a side effect occured that was loosing a lot of my hair(not that you could tell!!)due to shock. It only lasted a few months whilst recovering I had time to think about other children who have lost their hair due to illness or other. As I am slowly recovering I have had amazing support from family and friends and I feel that I would like to give something back to those who are not as lucky as me.Whilst in hospital I sustained a broken pelvis in a couple of places and I have just start to learn to walk again.I also had a broken arm and a damaged spleen which have both fully healed now.I use crutches most of the time and I also use a wheelchair if i get tired. As of last week I have just started to go back to school which I love because I get to see all of my friends again.I know that I may not have to shave my whole head but I would like to because I feel like those who have lost their hair do not have a choice as to whether they would like to or not and I would like to help other children be happy by giving them a simple choice that we take for granted like what hairstyles will we wear.Every morning I choose a hairstyle to wear which I love doing but I also understand that other girls and boys do not get the chance to do that.I would like to help raise money to 'Little Princess Trust' because even though the wigs that are made are given to children for free they cost around £300-£500 to make and any donation will be greatfully recieved.I will be shaving my head on AUGUST 28TH 2017 and I would like to reach a target of £800.This event will be taking place in my home with friends and family for support. They will be taking lots of videos and pictures of me shaving my head and even though I am really excited about this event, and would love to shave my head today ,I understand that raising money is one of the most important parts of this event and will be put to a good cause.I will keep you all updated throughout this adventure and I hope you all will support me on my amazing journey.

Many thanks,

Meghan..
