Memory Walk 2018
Campaign by Alzheimer's Society (RCN 296645)
This year over 110,000 people walk united, against dementia. We aim, with your help to raise over £9 million to help anyone affected by dementia.

Story

Around 225,000 people develop dementia every year – that's the equivalent to one person every three minutes. This September and October Memory Walks will be taking place across England, Wales and Northern Ireland to raise money for a world without dementia. Arm in arm, step by step and pound by pound, we will get there. Once you donate, Just Giving will send your money directly to the Alzheimer's Society. So it's the most efficient way to raise money – saving time and cutting costs for the charity. Please dig deep and help us walk for a world without dementia.

I am walking 7.5KM (4.6m) along the golden mile from the comedy carpet, I have chosen Blackpool because it was my birth town and the hometown of my beloved Blackpool FC. A place in past years I once frequented, to enjoy watching my home side play football.

This walk is in memory of my father, and other family members who were and are affected by Alzheimer's and to support the services required to assist those who continue to suffer from this debilitating disease.

Many thanks for your support, please donate and share.
