What better way to celebrate turning 60 than to cycle from London to Paris with your two daughters?? It’s been mum’s dream to do this cycle for a long time, and to spend her birthday doing it. However the big birthday celebration is really more of an excuse to do one final fundraising event for the Children’s Liver Disease Foundation. This foundation supports many families who are affected by childhood liver diseases, and our relatives have benefited from their support over the last 18 years. Mum’s nephew/our cousin Mark is now officially an adult at 18; he’s four years post liver transplant and doing well, however he will continue to have ongoing care from adult liver services. Mum wanted to acknowledge Mark’s 18th year and her 60th with this amazing fundraising challenge. 

We’re cycling the 247 miles from London to Paris, over five days in June. Dad will be following close behind us every mile with a car full of spare tyres, energy drinks and extra pairs of padded shorts. We’re sure the miles will feel long on some days, and short on others, but all worthwhile if we can raise money for this incredible foundation. Any support you can give will be gratefully received, and if you’re thinking of getting mum a birthday present, then sponsorship on here will be the best present you could give.
