Here is my story. When I was 15 years old I lost my dad to Cancer. I watched him suffer for over 2 years. And this is why I have chosen Cancer Research UK to raise money for.

In 2012 my Doctor told me that I had high cholesterol and I was overweight at 18 stone 7 and a half pounds. The doctor gave me 2 choices to help me lose weight and that was either going to the gym or a referral to Slimming World. I opted for Slimming World as I was not keen on going to the gym. I have not looked back since. After 7 months attending Slimming World I managed to lose 5 stone and have kept the weight off.

Last August 2015 my Slimming World consultant suggested some sort of exercise. So I took up doing Park Runs. This is a weekly 5k organised run. I have participated in them every week for nearly a year and am now rapidly approaching my 50th Park Run.

I am feeling so much healthy since doing my the weekly Park Run and have decided to push myself that bit further by entering the Henley 10k in September 2016 and to use this opportunity to raise money for Cancer Research UK,

The Henley 10k takes place 2 days before the anniversary of my dad losing his life to Cancer.
