Story
💜 Young Epilepsy do great work with children & youths up to the age of 25. Other than providing services in Essex, Kent & Blackpool, they run a school & home for those in need of constant support. Fundraising could not only help in regards to health but also in providing the children with tools to partake in everyday activities, which may simply playing outside.
Although I always knew death was a possibility with seizures, the reality of it really didn't cross my mind until a friend passed away. Other than my own close calls, this has often made me think about the children, youths and those caring for them, suffering through the same struggle with seizures.
I was diagnosed with Non-Photosensitive Epilepsy. Many times I've opened my eyes & have been thankful that i'm able to do so. I've been through phases of great anxiety, having experienced situations where others around me didn't know i was having a seizure, didn't know what to do or simply didn't care. I will be forever grateful for the love & support I received from my family & friends over the last 10 years.
With there already being a continuous need for awareness of epilepsy & seizures, I found it great that they were providing services for such a developmental age range, plus families & carers, whilst research goes on in this area.
I want to help Young Epilepsy continue to grow, in order for other children, youths & young adults to receive the best care and services possible, so they can live their best lives 💜
