Prior to lockdown we raised 50% of our £37,500 target, we really do need your support to hit our 100%. We have set ourselves a very large target to hit this year so your donation is so very much appreciated (don't forget gift aid)

During the pandemic we have been unable to run our usual fundraising but with the easing of restrictions we hope we are now ready to get started again.

All charities not just SJBF have suffered due to lack of fundraising during COVID-19 and we would like to encourage everyone to dig deep and donate to all worthy charitable causes

We have several SJBF events in the diary in the next couple months so hopefully we can get ourselves back out there promoting SJBF supporting Children with Cancer UK, all proceeds raised go to their ongoing projects into childrens cancer research

Any donations big or small really does go a long way. We look forward to hopefully seeing you all soon at one of our events

Thanking you all in advance, take care and keep safe

Sammy Jo lost her battle at 29 years old to Triple Negative Breast Cancer (8.8.88 - 14.5.18) - Sammy Jo always wanted children of her own and she would get upset knowing children were going through the same horrific effects of her treatment. February 2018 we got the devastating news the Cancer had returned in her brain and lungs and only had weeks to live, over the following weeks there was a lot of hard conversations with her, one of them being raising money at her funeral and she said the money raised must go to Children With Cancer UK. We raised £6,485 - a few days after her funeral Sammy Jo's cousin Robyn suggested we start a foundation in her name which we all though was a great idea so a few months later it was all set up - on 8th August 2019 (Sammy Jo Birthday and the Foundation's 1st Birthday) through lots of hard work from Kim (Mum), Dad (Matt), Danny (Brother), Robyn (Cousin), Jack (Sammy Jo's Boyfriend) and all our family/friends, we have had several events and lots of donations we were able to hand over £88,088.88 to Children With Cancer UK what an achievement in our first year - in our second year on Sammy Jo's birthday 8.8.2020 we handed over £44,088.88 which was well below what we had hoped for but due to COVID all our events were either cancelled/postponed - On Sammy Jo's birthday 8.8.2021 we managed to get a few events and donations in and was able to hand over £16,088.88 - fingers crossed this coming year we are able to get back up and running properly. We have already had a Football Match SJB v Celebs & Ex Pros and a Golf Day & Evening event  - just waiting on final totals from both events then will post on our social media sites (see below)- we also have coming up our After Marathon/Christmas Black Tie Dinner & Dance to look forward to.  We know if we have only saved one child's life from cancer, we are fulfilling Sammy Jo's wishes

When you lose someone it leaves you devastated, Sammy Jo was loved by so many people, once you had met her with her infectious laugh you never forgot her.
