Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

I have lived with a brain tumour for exactly ten years when it was discovered. Actually I had been living with it for a lot longer as it was nearly a quarter the size of my brain. I had an operation to reduce its size and a course of chemotherapy six years ago when it had grown back.

Now I have found out that it is growing again and have started another six to nine month course of chemotherapy.

Rather than sitting at home twiddling my thumbs, I have decided to do something positive.  The Brain Tumour Charity not only helps those with a tumour, but it also funds pioneering research in the causes of and treatments for brain tumours (www.thebraintumourcharity.org).  They receive no government funding at all.

I am hoping to be able to complete the walk but my brother, Nick, will be walking with me so that he can finish it on my behalf.

Thank you so much for donating - it is all hugely appreciated.
