• Over the past few weeks, virtually all working musicians worldwide have suddenly had their livelihoods cut due to the onslaught of coronavirus.

• Consequently, in the absence of a live audience, many players have taken to 'live-streaming' from home in order to communicate with their fans and followers, or to raise funds for our doctors, nurses, hospital workers and the many volunteers who are risking their lives each day to help curb this terrible disease.

• So, this Friday, 10th April at 8pm, I will play a 45-minute live set from the utility room at home that I call my studio.

• The set will be transmitted on 'Facebook Live' from my profile page, but for those not on Facebook the set will be available on my Youtube Channel directly after transmission.

• I'm dedicating the set to all the musicians we've lost to the coronavirus, including my friend of fifty years, Alan Merrill, R.I.P.

• I plan to sing a song or two written by the great Bill Withers, who we also lost this week. So long, Bill. You were my inspiration for many years...

• If you wish to donate something, please give what you can to the NHS.
