We care for seriously ill adults & children to help them 'Make every day count'

Story

James and Faith usually hold an annual garden day to raise funds for Little Havens Childrens Hospice in Thundersley. Due to the recent Coronavirus outbreak it is unlikely that we will be able to hold this event this year. The children are concerned about the impact the Coronavirus will have on Charities and particularly Little Havens so we have designed a quiz which can be completed and returned to trudyjewell@btinternet.com.

Whilst this is a football teams quiz, you do not need to know anything about football - the answers are a play on words for the clues! The teams are provided - just match the team with the correct answer.

Entry to the quiz is £2 (please note, we would have liked to kept this at the usual £1, but JustGiving minimum donation is £2.  If you wish to give an offline donation £1 is find - every penny counts) which can be either donated via this Just Giving Page or returned once the Coronavirus lock down is over. The winner will receive a £10 All4One voucher which has been donated by James.

It costs £2.5m to keep Little Havens Hospice open each year. That's £6850 per day and £285 per hour. For the Garden day we had last year we made £1000 in one day for the Charity. For a similar quiz last year we raised around £40 just with family and friends. Even if we could exceed this for this remote quiz it would fantastic.

Alternatively, Faith's netball team, Flames are recreating one of our garden events in their home garden space by pledging money for how many netball goals can be scored in one minute.

Likewise, James's football team are doing the same for keepie uppies!  In short anything you can think of or do to contribute will help.

Faith is also doing a handstand challenge on Easter Sunday where she is being sponsored for how long she can hold a handstand.

Thank you for listening - James and Faith.

Match the clues to the Scottish football teams on page 2. You don’t need to know anything about football, they are cryptic clues and play on words. The first question is answered for you to give you a clue to the structure of the quiz questions. If a paper copy of the quiz is required, please email trudyjewell@btinternet.com with your email address or contact 07702788187.  Entries to be returned by 01 June 2020.
