Story

May peace be upon you all,

Please don’t scroll down just yet because the people of Yemen need more than just your donation.

Yemen was declared as the world’s worse humanitarian crisis by the UN since 2017, and now the combined tribulations couldn’t possibly get worse; an ongoing devastating war, COVID-19 outbreak, and now a deadly famine.

Children are starving to death in their thousands.

Homes are destroyed, leaving countless families without a proper roof over their heads.

Yemen infrastructure is literally dismantling into pieces.

For most of us, we may not have direct control over what is happening in Yemen, but we do have a moral obligation to do everything within our capacity to help our brothers and sisters, as our beloved Prophet Muhammed (SAW) said:

“Whoever relieves a believer’s distress of the distressful aspects of this world, Allah will rescue him from a difficulty of the difficulties of the Hereafter. Whoever alleviates [the situation of] one in dire straits who cannot repay his debt, Allah will alleviate his lot in both this world and in the Hereafter. Whoever conceals [the faults of] a Muslim, Allah will conceal [his faults] in this life and the Hereafter. (Muslim)

Ways you can help

1.    Make supplication (dua) for the people of Yemen. The impact of supplication extends far greater than anything else you can do at the moment.

2.    Spreading awareness by signing the petition and sharing stories
about Yemen. Emphasise the importance of standing for justice and utilising the two most important privileges we hold – freedom and knowledge!

3.    Empower yourselves and those around you by adopting a lifestyle that is not evolved around wastefulness. Thousands are starving around the world on a daily basis!

4.    And lastly, contribute towards this important cause by making a small donation. Your Zakat, Sadaqah and Lillah can be given for this appeal.

Let us shift our perspective on how we identify as the most effective way to make a change. Your donation helps, but what the people of Yemen need more are your activism and knowledge. No matter how big or small your platform is, use that to spread awareness about your dying brothers and sisters.

"When my servant ask you [O Muhammed] concerning Me, I am indeed close to them, I listen to the supplication of every supplicant when they call on Me" (Surah Baqarah:186)
