Story
Hello, my name is Pippa and I am 11 years old. I am cutting my long hair in August and donating it to the Little Princess Trust so that they can make a wig for a child going through cancer treatment and losing their own hair.
At the same time, I would also like to raise some money for a wonderful charity - Weston Hospicecare - who looked after my Nanna towards the end of her life. They looked after her so well and made her smile every day with their care and support. My Nanna would tell me about the lovely food that the Hospice prepared for her and this made her feel loved and it reassured us that she was eating something healthy and yummy.
If you can kindly donate even a small amount, so that we can say thank you to Weston Hospicecare for the love they showed to my Nanna - I would be very grateful.
Thank you,
Pippa x
Receiving an end-of-life diagnosis can be difficult, not just for the patient but also for their loved ones. At Weston Hospicecare, our team of palliative care experts is dedicated to working together to provide specialist support. Our social, emotional, psychological, spiritual and physical care helps guide people through one of the most difficult experiences they will ever face. With only 20% of our funding coming from the NHS, we have to raise £4 million each year to fund our care - something that's only made possible by our community.
