Hi my name is Zaira and I am going to Ethiopia! I am travelling with a team of fantastic volunteers to help those at a disadvantage whether it be a little girl who can't complete her education because she can't see the board at school to grandparents struggling to read bedtime stories because they can't afford specs. As part of my mission this summer I will hopefully be able to reach as many people in remote villages around Ethiopia providing free eye tests and spectacle but also teaching at local unversities and colleges to aid the opthalmic teaching so that care can be provided long after we have come home!

£472 can pay for a month's training for an Optometry technician

£750 can pay for a Professional Volunteer to provide one-week of humanitarian eye care

£9,056 can fund the equipment and raw materials needed to establish a new Vision Centre
