Our personal message:

Between the 4th and the 12th of September 2008; six triatheletes are undertaking a Challenge  called Arch to Arc. We will run from Marble Arch, London to Dover (87 miles), swim the Channel (20+ miles) and then cycle to L'Arc de Triomphe., Paris (200 miles). Negotiating white van drivers, extreme sea temperatures, french passprt control, french driving at L'Arc, punctures and buckled wheels, sea sickness. And why to raise money for our chosen charities.

These people walk among you.  They are by no means elite athletes.  They are not Tee-total.  They do not exist on a diet of brown rice, pasta and performance enhancing drugs.  They don’t spend every waking hour training.  They have jobs, real jobs.  They have families.  They live in normal houses.  They don’t have live-in personal trainers or dieticians.  They are just people that enjoy a challenge and want to raise some money for charities close to their heart in the process.

We are raising money to charities close to our hearts, all the monies will be split three ways. Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Bowel Cancer UK, Samaritans and BIRD will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

Samaritans

Samaritans is a confidential emotional support service for anyone in the UK and Ireland. The service is available 24 hours a day for people who are experiencing feelings of distress or despair, including those which may lead to suicide. If you want to pour out in a phonecall, they will listen for hours."
