About my charity : Auditory VerbalUK Auditory VerbalUK
Our results - and our children - speak for themselves! Auditory VerbalUK is the UK's only Centre for Auditory Verbal Therapy. Every day in Britain, two children are born with severe and permanent hearing impairment. This disability will leave many of these children isolated and failing to achieve their educational and social potential. Advances in hearing aid and cochlear implant technology, combined with AVT, enable children to learn how to listen, to understand what they are hearing and to speak for themselves. My personal message:

"I'm running another marathon, and this time it's personal :-)

I have two ambitions.... To break the three-hour barrier (pg) and in the process raise as much money as possible for Auditory VerbalUK. 

Why AuditoryVerbalUK you may ask....

Well, my niece, Aimee was born last May with an incurable hearing loss and we're now trying to do as much as possible to help.  She receives bi-weekly treatment at AuditoryVerbalUK.  AVUK directly helps deaf & hearing impaired children from across the UK to develop their language & communication skills such that they can attend mainstream schools and reach their full potential.

AVUK, being a charity, is able to support a very wide range of children, and it's to this end that we are raising money on their behalf.
