CHICKS provides respite breaks for disadvantaged children from across the UK. The children who come to us invariably suffer from the consequences of poverty, neglect and physical or mental abuse. The charity also provides breaks for young carers.

Climbing the Three Peaks. In 24 hours. With one month's training. Great idea...

Gareth and Michelle will be climbing the three highest peaks in the UK in 24 hours on 8 August. Not only is one huge challenge, it's also for a really good cause - CHICKS - a charity that provide country holidays for inner city kids.

We need to raise at least £600 each to do it, so go on, dig deep. It's for the kids...
