Hi,

My name is Gareth Bell, Most people know me as 'Dinger'.

I was asked by a friend just before christmas if I would consider entering a boxing event in March 2014 to raise money for a locally based charity 'cancer connections'.

My first thought was 'No Way' i am in no physical state to be entering a boxing ring lol.

I did do a little boxing with the same friend over a decade ago whilst serving in the army. By 'little boxing' I mean shown how to throw a few punches and thrown into a boxing ring to windmill each other haha.

In preperation for this fight I am training exceptionally hard, Training every day and sparring as much as possible 'ending up in my nose being plastered across my face most days'.

Alot of my friends and family are coming to the event, some to support me and some in hope to see me get smashed up.

Understandably there is people that cant make the event for different reasons so I thought about making this page for people to support me to raise as much money as possible for our local charity.

Familly and close friends of mine have been effected in some way by cancer. Some more severe than others.

My aim is to raise as much as possible.

Every little helps.
