On the 8th of August last year, my beautiful one year old daughter Ellen was rushed to hospital by ambulance with suspected meningitis. We spent an extremely anxious week in an isolation room hospital while they tested her and began treatment. We were enormously relieved when they finally gave her the all clear. As a result of our experience, i decided to run this year's London Marathon to raise money to help support the Meningitis Research Foundation.
