Flora London Marathon 2008 · 13 April 2008 ·

The Child Growth Foundation makes a difference wherever growth is a concern. We are a UK charity focusing on the support, understanding and management of rare growth conditions to improve the lives of children, young people, adults and families affected.

Story

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

The Flora London Marathon is less than 1 week away and as my training appears to have gone to schedule I have now definitely decided that barring major accident I will be running on Sunday 13th April, 2008. Therefore I am now asking people to consider sponsoring me.

Both my eldest daughter Helen and I are running in aid of the Child Growth Foundation. This is a less well known charity which we have had personal benefit from, because my youngest daughter Megan has Russell Silver Syndrome.  The  support provided to us through the Child Growth Foundation has helped us to better understand Megan's condition and the problems she is likely to encounter throughout life. The shared experiences of other parents, young adults with the condition and experts in the field has also been very important.  Like most organisations they need more funds and I hope you can help by sponsoring us.

If you know both Helen and myself please sponsor Helen as she is mainly seeking sponsorship amongst poor students and non-tax payers!

Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: Child Growth Foundation will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.

So please sponsor me now!

Many thanks for your support.
