I am so pleased to be running the London Marathon for the first time this year for Asthma UK in memory of my father Glyn.  For those who didn't know him, he was an amazing and inspirational man whose life was increasingly impaired by asthma.  Glyn never smoked but ultimately lost his fight in 2003 to serious lung disease.  We all miss him hugely and I am keen to raise money for Asthma UK to help its ongoing efforts in improving the health and well-being of all people with asthma in the UK.

As an asthma sufferer myself, 26.2 miles seems an awfully long way - I'm training hard and looking forward to the challenge on April 25th.  Early mornings, soggy weather, day-glo lycra and the steep hills of South London all seem quite normal now!

I'd be hugely grateful for your support - however big or small.
