My story

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

As some of you will know i lost a number of people who I love very much recently.

I know i speak for many people in that we miss The Big Doolanga and Blakey ,Charlie Breen and Jennifer Breen with all our hearts.

I've chosen to fundraise for Coping with Cancer, as they are a small charity, the money will go straight where it matters and not be tied up in massive admin costs. This charity has become personal to me, Coping with Cancer provide an excellent across the board bereavement counselling service, which is FREE ,a rare and special thing.

Personally i've benefited a great deal from accessing this service and indeed it has helped me come to terms with the loss of Gav, Chris, Auntie Jen and Uncle Charlie.

I can honestly say i wouldn't feel as good as i feel now if it were not for the support i've recieved from the staff at Coping with Cancer.

So heres the crack:

Northern Rock Cyclone on June 16th 2009 (100 miles in 1 day around Northumberland).

Coast and Castles Route (Newcastle to Edinburgh 204 miles in 2-21/2 days).

For context, i have little to no cycling experience, in short i'm bricking it. For me there's no better motivator, than giving something back to a great small charity and contributing towards keeping a rare counselling service free. It's important to remember the people who are left behind as well as the people we lose.

I will be training through the winter, if anyone see's me out and about going into a branch of Greggs feel free to rugby tackle me and punch me in the eye.

This is a Steakbake free zone, step away from the bakery, nothing to see here.

Thanks for looking at the page, any amount will help no matter how big or small. If you would forward the link onto other people i would appreciate that very much.Cheers dudes. G.x
