Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
**Update**
Well I’m very pleased to say I completed the Great Scottish Run (half marathon) in a time of 1:50:55 finishing 2464 from a field of 22357. Not bad for my first attempt!
At the moment we have raised £560 for the RNID and £320 for a local charity The Link Centre for Deafened People which is helping my sister directly. These are 2 great amounts!
There is still time to sponsor so don't be shy!

I've decided I need a new challenge and really wanted to raise some money for a worthy cause in the process! So a 13 mile half marathon sounded about right and definately something I've never done before!
RNID is that cause for me. Early this year my sister Audrey gradually lost her hearing, this was sudden with no real cause initially found. It was a seriously long process going through the NHS and only in the last month or so has a diagnoses been found and she has now been added to a long waiting list for a cochlear implant which will return some kind of hearing ability bringing a welcome improvement. I also have a good friend with hearing problems and that gives me even more incentive! So to help a charity that helps people like my sister in a wide range of areas will be a seriously rewarding challenge!
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: RNID gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
I really hope this is enough to make you dip into your pockets and sponsor me no matter how much!
Cheers
Gary
