At Alzheimer’s Society we’re working towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives. We do this by giving help to those living with dementia today, and providing hope for the future by campaigning to make dementia the priority it should be and funding groundbreaking research.

Story

Hello! Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

This ride is dedicated to my good mate Steven "Swarvo" Swarbrick.

On 21st May four friends and I will be donning our lycra and setting off from Lands End to John 'O' Groats to complete a gruelling 1000 miles of cycling in just 10 days.  Getting to Penzance by cross-country train is an ordeal in itself and after that its bums on saddles from between 8 and 13 hours per day for 10 consecutive days.

Visit our website at www.endtoend08.co.uk for details of our route and our progress during the ride (technology permitting!) via our live blog.

So why are we putting ourselves through this? Well, we want to try and raise £10,000 between us for good causes. I have chosen to ride for the Alzheimer's Society which is a really great charity (see left for more details). The riders are funding the trip entirely so every penny that we raise goes straight to the charities.

Please dig deep and sponsor me online.

Many thanks for your support. Cheers

Gav
