Raising money for Hands Across the Water

Charity Registration No. 1113496

Hands Across the Water is raising money to build a permanent orphanage for 30 young children in Thailand who were orphaned as a result of the Boxing Day Tsunami. They currently live in makeshift structures in the Takua Pa area. Money raised will build the orphanage, furnish it and provide further care.

On Easter Sunday I am going to run by first 10K for Sgt Gill Williams charity, Hands Across the Water. Gill has already helped raise enough money to build an orphanage for children who lost their parents in the tsunami in 2004 and now she wants to raise funds to build accommodation for volunteers who help out at the orphanage. Rather than just look on with amazement at what Gill has achieved, I thought I ought to actually do something to help, so it's on with the running shoes!

I would be very grateful for any sponsorship, however small.
