Story
Welcome to the Grace House Community Centre's donations page. GCDC has changed its name to “Grace House Community Centre” - Grace House for short. The main building has always been called ‘Grace House’ after Jim’s grandmother who left him the legacy to start the project.
Since the Grace House Community Centre (GHCC) opened it's door at the beginning of November 2008 there has been a steady influx from the surrounding villages of parents wishing to enroll their children. 100 children are now enjoying attending with over a further 100 waiting for places to become available.
Based in Kor Kranh village, 3 kms outside Siem Reap, the Centre is a world away from the commercialised tourist centre of the town.
Our children’s families are farmers, fishermen or market sellers trying to feed and educate their children on very low incomes. We firmly believe in the value of every child and that is why we wanted to offer educational opportunities to those who have so little and truly want a better future for their children.
We are always looking for continued funding to help support our vital works. We are truly grateful for any money that you are able to spare and it will all be put to good use helping the Grace House Community Centre grow and develop.
Thanks to the help of our parent organisation , Globalteer, we are now able to offer a simple and safe way for you to help our project with its fund raising efforts.
Globalteer is a registered charity in the UK and are great supporters of our project here in Cambodia.
Every pound Globalteer receives from you goes directly to funding our projects.
All the donations are taken in UK Pounds Sterling so if you want to see how much your donation will cost you in your own currency please visit www.xe.com for an approximate conversion rate.
