Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page!
As some of you may already know on 1 May I am running (or attempting to run) the Great West Run - half marathon. I am running to raise money for Refugee Youth Project (RYP). They are a fantastic charity that provide support and activities for young refugees and unaccompanied asylum seekers. RYP currently run projects in Lebanon, London and Nepal and I will be raising money for the Lebanon project.
Since the charity was formed in 2004, the Lebanon project has been supporting educational and recreational activities for young Palestinian refugees in Al-Bass camp. The camp residents suffers from poverty and unemployment and children suffer especially in this environment. There is no designated space for them to play safely, or any activities to partake in outside of school.
That’s why I’m asking you to please donate what you can to help fund the amazing projects RYP provide to help these children. The project really does make a difference to their lives. With help from local partner organisations, RYP Lebanon is able to facilitate skill building and literacy support sessions and ensure that all activities are fully inclusive for all children. These activities not only help to improve the lives of the children now but also to improve their future prospects and opportunities.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
Thank you for your support - I will let you know how I get on!
