This will be my 16th and probably last marathon and, once again, I am running for Research Autism. I am setting myself a target of raising over £30,000 for a hugely important cause.
Whilst the cause of autism is not known, the impact is - it is huge and unremitting: anxiety, loneliness, isolation and rejection. Research Autism is the only charity dedicated to the research of interventions and treatments for autism. New Philanthropy Capital, an organisation which investigates charitable sectors and recommends where charitable donations should be directed, has identified Research Autism as a high priority. So please help me to help those with autism and their families deal with this life-long disability.
