Update: 27th September.

George returned to the college at 1pm on Tuesday 22nd September to a champagne reception. Attended by around 200 members of staff at the AECC as well as students and friends George was overwhelmed by the welcome and was stunned by the whole thing. The reception was a complete suprise to George, he had no idea everyone was waiting for him.

After the applauding had subsided, George gave short speech to thank everyone for their contimuing support of his mission, which he is now well on his way to achieving. Looking very tanned and very fit, George really has impressed us all with his achievement. He's gone on a very difficult physical and emotional journey, all in aid of chiropractic research, but the support he has received from everyone has made a world of difference to him:

"Knowing everyone was behind me has kept me focused on my end goal and even more determined to finish the challenge and make it across the finish line!"

Hi There!

Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.

I'm planning to walk a massive 620km all the way from Lands End to Bournemouth and the best thing is, I'm doing it all to raise money for research. My aim is to raise a massive £10,000 to buy equipment needed for essential chiropractic related clinical research in the field of neurology and clinical neuroscience that will be undertaken at the AECC.

You can follow my journey in many different places, like requesting me to be a friend on facebook: www.facebook.com/DrGeorgeRix, or following my blog http://georgerix.blogspot.com/ or even tracking my progress on my Google Map. I'm updating all this information regularly so you can really get a feel for what I'm going through, all in aid of the Chiropractic Profession!

So, please will you sponsor me, and help support the future of the Chiropractic Profession?

Thank You !

I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who has sponsored me so far - your support is amazing and will definitely help me to get through this challenge.

I would especially like to thank AECC Principal Ken Vall, who has pledged to sponsor me an amazing £1 per km - a MASSIVE £620 for walking whole distance.

The sponsorship helps me to work even harder for the cause and I am eternally grateful for every penny you can spare.

Thank you so much. George :-)

If you want to contact me at any point along the route (Ramble Related only!) then simply email rixbigramble@googlemail.com thanks!
