Georgia WOOD is 10 years old and has decided that she wants to raise some money for Dogs for the disabled.
 
SEE BELOW MY RECENTY ADDED ITINERY FOR MY TRIP!!!!!
 
Georgia has decided that she would very much like to raise money for Dogs for the disabled and is undertaking (with her Mum and Dad and Grandparents) to cycle from the Atlantic Ocean to the Mediteranian Sea in France this summer. 
 
This cycle ride is 450 miles and will be completed in twelve days. 
 
Georgia will have to cycle between 22 and 37 miles a day in order to achieve this goal. 
 
Georgia hoped that her bike ride could be like that of David Walliams. 
 
David Walliams did a £1,000 000 bike ride, Georgia thought that she could do a £1,000 bike ride.
 
The bike ride will start on 19th July 2010.
 
Not only will Georgia be cycling everyday but will be pitching a tent every night and carrying all the things needed for the trip ie tents, clothing etc on her bike.

THE TRAINING HAS BEGUN.......

Training has now begun and the Woods have started to get out on their bikes.  10 miles was cycled across the fields from home.  This was hard going.....!!  :-)

ITINERY

16th July - cross to France very early in the morning.

17th July - Test Cycle ride from Chailles to Chaumont

18th July - Driving to start of cycle ride

LET THE CYCLING COMMENCE!!!!!!

19th July - Early start - drive to Bordeaux then cycle to Cadillac.

20th July - Cycle to La Reole.

21st July - Cycle to Damazan.

22nd July - Cycle to Boe.

Oh exciting - staying in a hotel tonight as there is not a camp site without going miles and miles off route.

23rd July - Cycle to Bidounet.

24th July - Cycle to Grisolles.

25th July - Cycle to Deyme.

Camping Les Violettes

26th July - Cycle to Castelnaudary.

Camp municipal de la Giraille.

27th July - Cycle to Carcassonne.

28th July - Cycle to nHomps/Olonzac.

Camping pouzols-minervois les Auberges.

29th July - Cycle to Capestag.

Camp municipal de tounel.

30th July - Cycle to Le Beziers.

Camping villeneuve les Beziers.

31st July - Cycle to Agde.

1st August - to the train station - put all the bikes onto the train and take the train back to Bordeaux and a well earned rest for Georgia Wood and her team!!!!!!

PHEW!!!!!! Lots of cycling and lots of pitching tents and camping and I sure a few glasses of the medicinal red stuff!!!! :-)
