My Mum first took me hostelling when I was 10, and we took our children when they were a similar age. Between the three generations, we have hostelled in countries throughout Europe and elsewhere, staying in amazing places and meeting wonderful people.

We decided to do this crazy walk (25 miles in 11 hours, 3500 feet of climbing) because it was a challenge for us (I had never walked that far in a day and Edward hadn't for years!) and would get us fit for trekking in Nepal in the Autumn. It was also an opportunity to give back something to the YHA and help young people enjoy the experience of hostelling as we have.

And we did it in 9 hours 31 minutes! And enjoyed it!

Donating through JustGiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Youth Hostels Association (England And Wales) gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, JustGiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

So please sponsor us now!
