Retinitis Pigmentosa is a genetic eye condition affecting the photoreceptors (rods and cones) or the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) of the retina. It is progressive disorder with symptoms most typically ranging from difficulty in seeing in poor light conditions to night blindness and tunnel vision and in some cases leading to total blindness. It effects each individual differently and impacts over 25,000 families in the UK.
Currently there is no known cure for RP or a treatment to stop it progressing.
YOU can change that. YOU can help find a cure.
These are now exciting times. Real research has made promising breakthroughs in the last couple of years and a treatment or cure is looking possible within our lifetime.
Please make a donation and help Fight Blindness. If you are a UK tax payer, please tick the gift-aid box.
Any donation, no matter how small, will help. Thank you.
