My story

**UPDATE 10th June 2012: We returned in the early hourse of this morning. Amazingly we had no worse problems than a flat tyre. We didn't get arrested or fall asleep at the wheel. Thanks for all you support. The page stays up for a couple of weeks I think and you can still donate.**

**UPDATE 29th May 2012: I would like to say we are well prepped for tomorrow, however I fear we are not. Had to email P&O yesterday to tell them that the car is no longer under 1.8m tall - thanks to Andy's addition of a bit of a Dyson to the roof. The very nice folks did not charge us a bean to change the booking. People are good sometimes.**

**UPDATE 21st May 2012: After a weekend of picking up crap from the mean streets of Walthamstow we finally had enough junk to start screwing it to the car. Check out the results! Keep the donations coming, please!!**

**UPDATE 6th May 2012: Thanks for all the donations so far - we are doing great. Three weekends remain before we head off so we'd better get on it with the chrome spray paint and inflatable Slimer sourcing.**

Our illustrious monarch has been on the throne for 60 years and we all get an extra day off work. God save the Queen!!

Instead of spending the extra day in the pub my companions and I will be take a little spin in our suped up, mega-cool Ectomobile. We plan to take the crappy looking Volvo in the picture and turn it into the car from the Ghostbusters. It is going to be exactly like Pimp My Ride, but with less jacuzzis and a lot more gaffer tape. Then, starting out from Bruges, we head all the way down to the Dalmatian Coast.  We take in seven countries, covering nearly 2000 km over 4 days. Did I mention that the car is a total banger and that only 2 of the 3 of the team can actually drive?

Anyway it's not all about the cars or Ghostbusters, there is a good reason to sponsor us. 100% of your donation goes to the charity Gemin-i - more if you Gift Aid it. Gemin-i brings together over 40,000 children in 2,700 schools across 120 countries to discuss and tackle the world's biggest issues such as malaria, HIV and AIDS, human rights and conflict resolution.

I think that you'll agree that education is probably the only way to solve most of the world's problems and this charity does really good work. It'd be marvellous if you could sponsor us with whatever you can spare. We'll be your best friends forever and bore you to death with stories when we get back.

Thank you.
