Why your donation matters

Each winter the temperature in northern India and Nepal drops to around 3 degrees celsius, sometimes even below freezing. Many of the children and elderly have little clothing to wear and have no cover to keep them warm.

One of the quickest ways to help is to provide a simple wool blanket and some sweaters and trousers for the children and elderly who are most affected by the harsh cold.

Soon the winter in India begins. Thousands of children and elderly are at risk. For as little as £3, you can provide a good quality blanket and save lives.

The tarpaulin held up by sticks behind her is their only shelter. It’s their ‘home’.
