<p><span class="messageBody">In 2005 Olly became the first person to row the Atlantic solo from America to England, and also the youngest person to ever row an ocean solo. </span></p>

<p>As well as trying to set a world record Olly will also be working with Hope and Homes for Children to raise both money for the charity as well as its profile.</p>
<p>Olly has worked as a close supporter of Hope and Homes for Children since he began adventuring, first raising money for by completing the Lands End to John O’Groats bike ride in 2000.</p>
<p>Hope and Homes for Children is a registered charity working in Central and Eastern Europe and Africa. The Charity works to give hope to the poorest children in the world – those who are orphaned, abandoned or vulnerable – by enabling them to grow up within the love of a family and the security of a home, so that they can fulfil their potential.</p>
<p>Olly has now raised over £160,000 for the Charity, and won a young philanthropists commendation from <a href="http://www.beaconfellowship.org.uk/index.asp">The Beacon Fellowship </a>charitable trust which acknowledges and rewards exceptional philanthropic acts by individuals for their giving of time, leadership, money, skills and ideas, and works to highlight motivating role models to to inspire and educate the next generation.</p>
