Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
On the 28th of September 2008 i will be abseiling 100ft down the Barns Ness Lighthouse near Dunbar at around 2pm to raise funds for the RNLI.
During the violent storms over the Easter weekend this year the RNLI’s Dunbar lifeboat, with no one aboard, broke her mooring and was blown ashore onto the rocks. Sadly the lifeboat was damaged beyond economic repair and was taken out of service. In May, RNLI trent class lifeboat John Neville Taylor, part of the relief fleet, was put on permanent service at Dunbar. The cost of refitting the replacement lifeboat was £170,000 and all the funds raised from the abseil will help the RNLI offset the cost.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor me: RNLI - Royal National Lifeboat Institution gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor me now!
thanks again
