This year i am raising funds for north west air ambulance.
I will be running the 2009 london martahon the full 26.2 miles dressed in fancy dress on the 26th April.
May the 10th i will be running the Leeds half marathon.
1st August i will be doing the London Triathlon. 750m Swim in the river thames followed by a a 20k bike ride and a 5km run to finish off.
13th September i will be swimming in the 2009 great north swim a 1 mile swim in Lake Windermere.
october i will be running the palma marathon in majorca.
The reason for putting myself through this is to raise vital funds for North West Air Ambulance.
On the 13th April last year my cousin Codey Sharp was involed in a very serious road traffic incident. Even though Codey was not the only one injured his injuries where the most severe and life threatening. Codey was Air lifted from the incident site on the outskirts of Sedbergh and taken to Preston Royal Hospital by the North West Air Ambulance. The crew risked there own lives as they were advised not to carry on with the rescue due to the terrain and the weather. If it was not for the North West Air Ambulance then Codey would not be with us now. Our whole family owe them all a huge debt of gratitude for there expertise, determination and dedication beyond the call of duty.
