Story
Many thanks for visiting our justgiving website
On the 17th/18th July a group of volunteers from Grant Thornton, Leeds are attempting to climb the National 3 Peaks: Ben Nevis (Scotland), Scafell Pike (England), Snowdon (Wales) in just 24 hours in an effort to raise funds for the charity Sense - helping deafblind children and adults in the UK. This challenge will test our body, mind, spirit and feet.......a feat which is not going to be easy!!
Place your fingers in your ears and close your eyes for just one minute and notice how two of your five senses are impaired? Many of us take communication for granted, a deafblind person cannot.
Sense has a vision where deafblind people can be full and active members of a society. It's purpose is to work with deafblind people and their carers to ensure that everyone challenged with deafblindness has access to full support, advice and opportunities; helping to maximise their potential and independance.
We thank you in advance and ask that you dig deep in to your pockets for any loose change by please sponsoring us below.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Sense - National Deafblind and Rubella Association gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
Important note: please remember to mark in the comment box the name if you are sponsoring an individual as we all have our own total of £500 each to raise towards the £9,000 target.
