Gravity Gran jumps from a plane · 24 May 2008

MAF uses planes to transform the lives the world's most isolated people in need. We fly to overcome the barriers of jungles, mountains, swamps and poor roads to serve around 2,000 relief and mission groups. With a plane taking off or landing every 4 minutes, the need is huge. We need your help.

Story

Gravity Gran is the air-name of Sue Mayhew, an octogenarian grandmother from Attleborough, Norfolk. She will be launching herself from an aeroplane (strapped to a tandem skydive instructor) on 6th June 2008, in aid of two charities: the Mission Aviation Fellowship and the East Anglian Air Ambulance.

To sponsor her jump and donate to the Mission Aviation Fellowship, please use the link on this page. If you would like your sponsorship to go to the East Anglian Air Ambulance, click here.

The cost of the skydive is being borne by one of Sue's daughters (the other is appalled by the whole idea), so all of the money you donate will go to the charity of your choice.

UK tax payers can increase the value of their donation by 28%, at no cost to themselves, by following the Gift Aid instructions on the donation page.

Please give generously in support of Gravity Gran!
