Gloucestershire Arthritis Trust (GAT) knows that asking most of our supporters to complete the Three Peaks Challlenge (Snowden, Scafell Pike and Ben Nevis) is impossible. But what if we cut out those extra bits like 20 miles of walking & 500 miles travelling between them and concentrated on the going straight up and down bits?
Snowden (up and back down again) is 2,170 metres, Scafell is 1,956 metres and Ben Nevis is 2,688 metres - that's 6,814 metres and equivalent to all 3 peaks. If you have Arthritis walking just a few metres can be agony, so we're not expecting hundreds of sufferers to do the whole distance - anyone can make up their own 'trek'.
We have now closed the 2010 'Trek' having raised over £8,400- and send a big "Thank you" to everyone who has donated. We will be back in April 2011.
