Story
A huge thank you to everyone who has already donated to this fantastic cause and I am pleased to say I completed the Marathon in 4hrs 17mins.
I can honestly say it was the most difficult thing I have ever done but the atmosphere and support from the crowds made it a day I will never forget.
I hit 'the wall' about 15 miles which is much earlier than I was expecting and until that point I had been running exactly the right pace that I had planned in training. With 11 miles to go and feeling completely exhausted I wasn't sure if I was going to make it. Miles 16-21 are now a blur but somehow I got through and the last 5 miles although painful were a fantastic experience. The crowds were deafening and gave you that little bit of energy you needed to keep going.
This page will be available for another week so there is still time to donate and help this fantastic charity to continue with the great work they do to help and support patients and families affected by Leukaemia.
Thank you,
Greg
