Story

On Friday the 4th of April 2014, Lee Wright (Wrighty), James Bates, Harry Pavitt, Liam Park, Alan Coleman and Lee Wright (Tammy) will be walking from Gretton to Skegness to raise money for the Leicestershire/Rutland/Northants Air Ambulance who came to the aid of Gretton residents Jess and Keith Wheatley back in December when they were involved in a serious road accident.

Jess and Keith are the heartbeat of the village and especially the cricket club, and it is all their hard work and fundraising behind the scenes that keeps our proud historic team running. Keeping with the cricket theme, us 6 will be walking in miles, the lowest amount of runs the midweek team scored last season which was 77. We aim to do this over the course of 3 days, stopping in Spalding on the friday night, Boston on the saturday and then make our way to Skegness on the sunday.

The Air Ambulance save lives every day, and rely solely on donations. We want to say thank you to all the hard work they do, and also thank them for coming to the aid of Jess and Keith, with whom if it was'nt for the Air Ambulance's help, probably would'nt be here today. We hope to raise as much money as possible, and hope you can help us do this.

Any donation great or small is welcome. Thank you!
