My story
On September 8th over a gruelling 12 hours we will be climbing a mountain, cycling 12 kilometres, and kayaking across Coniston Water to raise money for GDBA.

It costs £10 a day to breed, train and support each guide dog partnership and as the charity relies on voluntary donations to fund its services, every penny raised will make a life-changing difference to blind and partially-sighted people.
From guide dog puppy, through training, working life and retirement they need our support.

We did it! Completed the Coniston Challeng' in smashing time. 12k Mountain bike, Hike 10k up and down the 'Old Man of Coniston' and 1k kayak - 5hr 13min. HUGE thankyou to everyone who has already made a donation - Its not too late if you haven't already, every penny counts

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of blind and partially sighted people never leave home alone. Guide Dogs empowers visually impaired people to do that and relies totally on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service. We breed and train guide dogs which provide life changing mobility and there are currently 4,500 working guide dog partnerships in the UK. The full lifetime cost of a guide dog from birth to retirement is £48,500. We will not rest until blind and partially sighted people can enjoy the same freedom of movement as everyone else.
