Story
Update: 08/03/2010
We successfully completed the route in the early evening of Friday 5th March 2010. It was hard work in places, but it was certainly worth it - We were very lucky with the weather and we had an amazing time. We met some fantastic people and stayed in some very nice places (with good food and ale).
Thankyou all so very much for all your kind sponsors. If you haven't sponsored us yet, then please still feel free to do so as the charity can still make excellent use of your generosity.
Thanks
Tim, Andy, Duncan & Tom

Update:
Due to the generous donations we have received so far, we have agreed to try and meet the challenge of achieving a higher total than the original £2000 so that we can raise as much money as we can for this very worthwhile charity :)
Please help us to achieve this new goal ... Thanks.

Thank you very much for visiting our fundraising page.
On February 28th 2010 we (Tim York, Andy Wignell, Duncan Simms, Tom Standen) are going to walk the whole length of the Hadrian's Wall Path National Trail to raise money for Little Hearts Matter (www.lhm.org.uk).
Hadrian's Wall Path National Trail is an unbroken 84 mile trail stretching from coast to coast, from Wallsend in the east to Bowness-on-solway in the west. (see attached map in photos section)
We are hoping to complete the 84mile trek over 6 days. It has been quite some time since any of us have done any serious walking and it is likely to be a lot of hard work so please dig deep and sponsor us online.
**If you need further incentive to sponsor us, you'll be pleased to know that we are likely to get very cold and wet as we have foolishly decided to undertake this walk in late February!
So why are we doing this? Well as many of you will know, my son, Solomon, was born with a rare and major heart defect called Tricuspid Atresia. This effectively means he only has half of a functioning heart. He has already undergone Open Heart Surgery in the first year of his life and he is certain to need further Open Heart Surgery over the next few years. We are hoping to raise money for Little Hearts Matter (www.lhm.org.uk), the charity that provide many forms of support for families of children with this, and similar, 'half a heart' conditions.
Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Little Hearts Matter gets your money faster and, if you’re a UK taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.
So please sponsor us now!
