We are both running in the Middlesbrough 10k marathon on Sunday 6th of September to raise much needed funds for the Haematology Unit in Middlesbrough.
Craig was diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in December 2008. This was a shock to everyone as Craig would be the last person you would have thought would have to battle this kind of cancer and it shows that this could happen to anyone.
I wanted to show my support by bringing awareness to this disease and wanted to raise funds for the department that Craig was having his treatment in.
Thankfully Craig has been given the all clear just a few weeks ago, He has bravely decided to do this run with me and is keen to raise as much money as possible for the department that has saved his life and also to fund a department that serves people in the Tees Valley area.
