Update 5/6/2010 - I did it!!! I managed to complete the half marathon in a time of 1hr 59 mins 11 secs.  Thanks to all my sponsors!

Update 31/4/2010 - Only 30 days to go till race day!! Longest distance run so far is 9 miles so training is going well. However have had to change my shoes due to problems with Achilles tendon and think I have shin splints due to over training! Perhaps it is time to slow down a bit.  Keep on donating, as Tesco's say "Every little helps" and it is much appreciated.

Hi and thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page, setup in memory of our boys James and Ewan.

2010 is the year to be more positive and give something back to ARC so I'm running the Plymouth Half Marathon but need your help!

ARC (Antenatal Results and Choices) have been providing invaluable help and support to Becky and I since we let go of James in August 2008 and Ewan in June 2009.  ARC are the only national charity which provides non-directive support to parents throughout and after the antenatal screening and testing process to help them make decisions that are right for them and their families.

Please help me to help ARC by sponsoring me to run 13.1 miles. Please give as much as you are able, no matter how little, to ensure ARC is able to continue supporting expectant and bereaved parents.

o        £10 pays for an information and support pack for a bereaved or expectant parent

o        £20 pays for the website for a day – an essential aid for parents and health professionals

o        £30 will ensure ARC handbooks go to a hospital to be available to parents on hearing bad news

o        £50 will give training to a volunteer to provide local support to bereaved and anxious parents

o        £100 will pay for the upkeep of the helpline for one day – often the first point of call for a distressed parent

o        £450 will pay for the postage for the a mail out of the ARC Newsletter to 4000 bereaved parents

o        £1000 will pay for a full days training for midwives and doctors to provide better care for parents
