Unfortunately after six days of walking Ellen had one sprained knee and two swollen ankles which made it impossible for her to walk. We had to return home and postpone the walk until the Spring. Ellen is getting physiotherapy to right the problem with her ankles and we will be training over then next few months.

Yes, Ellen and I will, from the 12th of September 2009, be living out of a rucksack.

With the luxuries of the beautiful English (and a little Scottish) countryside, plasters and the blisters to go with them, we are going on an epic (yes, EPIC) walk from Brighton to Edinburgh. 

This is all, of course, in the good name of charity. We are raising money for both Peace Direct and NFAUK and would be eternally grateful if you could delve deep into those pockets, purses,piggy banks, sack with a $ on, bumbag or whatever your prefered money-vessel may be and give us a donation.

So far, in total, we have raised £854.84

Then, after 6-8 weeks, a little blood, sweat and tears and a possible lost limb we will (god willing) be in Edinburgh having the comfort of knowing we have earned your sponsorship (which will be greatly enhanced by the comfort of a real bed).
