After a one or two tipples down at my local, my beer jacket thickened and I decided to volunteer for the charity bungee jump which is to be held there.  By the time I had woken up the following morning, my beer jacket had worn off, and I was left with the sinking feeling of WHAT AM I DOING!!

But was too late, my name is on the List, Deb at Tia Greyhound & Lurcher Rescue has been informed and I can’t possibly let all those lovely dogs down! (I am totally bricking it!!)

So against my better judgment, I shall be doing a Bungee Jump at Millers Inn (address and directions at the bottom) on Tuesday 28^th April to raise money for Tia Greyhound & Lurcher Rescue.

Why Tia? The dogs at Tia are all rescue dogs mostly x-racers, often they have been abused and abandoned.  Greyhounds make fantastic pets and are excellent companions, as I found when I adopted my greyhound Budweiser who helped me get through a traumatic time (and later, my Collie x Greyhound, Jake....who by the way is a very cheeky chappy who likes getting into mischeif ).  As most of you know, I adore my dogs as they have helped me get through a very difficult time in my life, with my mum being diagnosed with breast cancer and very shortly after, loosing my father. Now that I’ have come to terms with my loss & my mum has made a full recovery I’d like to give something back to the rescue centre that enabled my dogs (and many others) to have the chance of a permanent loving home and who in tern provided me with the comfort (and ears) to get through that difficult time.

So please please dig deep, the guys at Tia do a fantastic job on a shoe string budget.  There is nothing more rewarding than giving an animal second chance in life when thorugh no fault of their own has ended up in a rescue centre.

The pub IS dog friendly, so please please please come down and show some encouragement, and support (and to prevent me form backing out!!)

To try encourage you guys to dig deep, if I meet my target of £250, I will do the jump in fancy dress, at the choice of the highest sponsor.
