Hi! Thanks for visiting my fundraising page.
In April 2009, I will be running the Flora London Marathon for a wonderful charity close to my heart called the WSPA; one that you may or may not already know of. The World Society for the Protection of Animals are one of the hardest working and most dedicated animal charities in the world and one that I feel needs every bit of support and help in these difficult times. As a non-profit charity, every penny raised goes into helping draw awareness towards animal welfare; putting an end to animal cruelty worldwide and rescuing animals such as orangutans, whales, bears, elephants and dogs from suffering.
On the 26 April, I will gather every bit of strength and belief I have to run for the WSPA and put months of training behind me to do something special. On a personal note, the marathon represents a big step for me from the short and mid-distance racing I’m used to, and to make the epic 26.2 mile run possible I’ve had to make a hundred and one painful sacrifices so I hope that you will help me along the way.
For all the miles, sweat and hard work, there is just that bit more heart and spirit you find in the darkest hour when you know somebody has sponsored you.
Any amount, however big or small would be greatly appreciated, not only by me and the WSPA, but especially by the millions of animals facing adversity and in cases, the people whose lives depend on these animals. Thank you for taking the time to listen to what I have had to say and in hope, I trust I have convinced you from the bottom of my heart to make that small step. A small step that I’ll be forever grateful for…
