Nightingale hospice did a wonderful job of caring for our nan/mum/friend in the last month of her life. We all feel indebted to the hospice for the wonderful way they cared for her and for all of us in that difficult time. To show our appreciation we're going to have a number of events to raise money in memory of our Marion over this year, and we hope you will help us to support the wonderful work the hospice does. A little goes a long way!
We have organised a number of events to reach our target;
In May, Tim and June organised a 50's dance at the village hall in Llanferres. Many of our family and friends were able to come along to support us and enjoy a great evening.
In June, Marion and Danielle held a fundraising day at the beauty salon where Dani works. Customers donated money for delicious tea and cakes baked specially for the event.
Also in June, quite a few 'ladies' from the family and friends of Marion, walked 10 miles round Wrexham on the Hospice's big annual event - Ladies Midnight Walk. Check out pictures of the event on the website - www.ladiesmidnightwalk.co.uk
In July Aunty Anwen held a car boot sale and tea party at her home, raising £600 which she has split between NSPCC and the hospice - fantastic!!
We have more events planned to get us to the target we have set to help ensure that the hospice is there for anyone who needs it. We hope you will continue to support us, as so far you have all been wonderful!
