Story
For our Grandad Ernie who sadly died on the 19th of December 2010 at 90 years old.
I feel so honoured and blessed to have had Ernie in my life and feel proud to do this 9 mile walk in his name. He was pure class and every ounce a gentleman. I am so lucky to have so many fond memories to look back on.
He always put the fire on when we came over to make sure I was warm, always opened doors for me and helped me with my coat. He was an committed Wolves follower, a big fan of KFC, liked cheeky drinks and we both shared a massive sweet tooth.
He was a brilliant Dad of 3, wonderful Grandad 9 of and a loving Great-Grandad of 5
We want to say a big THANK YOU to the staff at Mary Stevens Hospice who took excellent care of Grandad in his final days. With their gentle care he was able to pass away with the comfort and dignity he deserved.
