My story
SPAMuary!
Instead of a New Year's Resolution, in January 2013 I will be aiming to eat 1 meal containing Spam, every day for 31 days. I'm going to be posting pictures of each meal I make/eat, (with some amusing commentary), and by day 31, I imagine I'll have to get very creative! There are some great recipes out there but any other suggestions are most welcome!
I am fundraising for the charity Mind. This is a cause close to my heart. I believe that they do a great job of providing access to care and services across communities, and also think it's very important to challenge the stigmas and taboos surrounding mental health issues. 1 in 4 adults experience a diagnosable mental health condition within the course of a year, and 1 in 6 at any given time. This could one day, (or even right now), be yourself, a friend, colleague, or family member. I am comforted to know that there is a support network for people who face these challenges daily, so they do not have to be defined by their illness.
So please support my 'crazy' challenge, to help support those who challenge the misconception of 'crazy'.
